The Flinstones will forever be known as the very first prime-time network animated sitcom with an outstanding run of six seasons ( 1960-1966), 166 episodes and a Emmy award.

Was originally named The Flagstones.

It was loosely inspired by Jackie Gleason's The Honeymooners. Gleason threatened to sue Hanna-Barbera for initating his series but his people talked him out of it because they said he don't want to be a guy who killed Fred Flintstone.
